Polish Borsch Soup
This goes perfect with sauerkraut perogies. Drop the perogies right into the soup and enjoy!!! This was my mom's recipe, she fixed this every Christmas.... Boy, I sure do miss those days and my mom.
Polish Perogies
Growing up with a Polish father, how can we have recipes without having one for Perogies!! When we talk about perogies, I think of Christmas. My mother would make borsch soup with mini sauerkraut perogies. They would fit perfectly in the soup spoon. Here I am 6 or 7 years old, eating this soup like it was a bowl of cereal!!!
Yes, it takes time to make these from scratch, but it is sooooo worth the time!!! And if you time this right, you can actually make the borsch soup while you are making the perogies. Take the challenge!!!!

North Carolina Pulled Pork
This was one of my first experiences while in NC!!
I actually like BBQ sauce on mine, but I was told that you don't eat this version of pulled pork with any BBQ sauce. I guess that's like adding american cheese to lasagna. So, I serve barbecue sauce on the side for anyone who would prefer the alternative.

Chili and Cornbread
Chili and cornbread?? When I first heard this combination, I wasn't sure that I even wanted to try it. But, I have to say, this is one of my top 5 favorite meals!!!
Imagine a Jersey winter down the shore. Crisp air, snow falling and everything is gray and gloomy. I fixed this meal for my family on one of those days, and all I can say, it's been a winter favorite. I always keep chili powder and kidney beans in the pantry just in case!!

BBQ Pulled Pork
This is a great recipe for the crock-pot. There's also another recipe for pulled pork, but without the BBQ. I'll post that one by itself. That one has more of a vinegar sauce to it.
BBQ Ribs Oven Style
This was a dish that I normally would fix on the grill. But coming from Jersey, I found that I couldn't make it during the winter months when the grill was covered with snow. So, I converted a summer time favorite, to an "anytime" favorite.
I like cooking certain meats slow, so this recipe can actually be made in a crock-pot on low for about 9hours. When using the oven, this cooks for about 5 hours total.

Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Baked macaroni & cheese is a dish everyone loves, especially on the holidays. This was one of the southern dishes I learned to make, and fix with BBQ Ribs!!
Chicken Parmesan
This was a recipe my mom would fix during the week. She would serve this with garlic butter pasta, and the left overs we would make sandwiches with the next day.
