Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Baked macaroni & cheese is a dish everyone loves, especially on the holidays. This was one of the southern dishes I learned to make, and fix with BBQ Ribs!!

Baked Macaroni & Cheese


1-Package Elbow Macaroni
3 tbsp butter softened
2-Cups of milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2-eggs beaten
8oz Sharp Cheddar Shredded
8oz Mozzarella Cheese Shredded

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Boil and cook pasta accordingly
  3. Lightly grease a 2qt baking dish or a 13x9 baking pan
  4. In a large sauce pan, combine butter, milk, salt, pepper, cheddar & mozzarella cheese.  Constantly stirring until the cheeses have melted.
  5. Once that is done, remove from heat.
  6. When pasta is cooked, and drained, add pasta to the baking dish.  Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta and mix.
  7. Take the 2 eggs that you had beaten, and pour evenly over the pasta, then top with more cheese if you would like.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly hot.  Wait about 10 minutes before you serve.
